Meet the Center Director

Dan McKinney is the Director of the Charles Chrin Community Center.

Dan received his B.S. degree in Therapeutic Recreation Management from Slippery Rock University, Slippery Rock, PA. This was followed with a M.ed. in Community Recreation Administration from Springfield College, Springfield, MA.

Dan began his career in recreation as Program Director for the Brandywine YMCA in Coatesville, PA. From there he moved to the Lehigh Valley and spent most of his career working in various recreation positions with KidsPeace. Prior to coming to Palmer Dan was Executive Director of the Miracle League of the Lehigh Valley. This is an organization that provides special needs youth the opportunity to play Miracle League Baseball at a fully handicapped accessible baseball complex. Dan continues to be very involved with this great program.

Dan and his wife Jennifer have two children, Zachary who is 5 years old and Alex who is 5 months old. The township welcomes Dan and looks forward to his leadership of the community center and its programs.
